Beginning Ballet

Class

Beginning Level class: Sundays 1:30pm-2:30pm This one hour, expedited format is for brand new beginners or those getting back into ballet. We focus on technique and basics as we go through a full class starting with the barre, and moving to the center floor. This class can be modified for dancers who are returning from injury.

Sun/Wed Open Level

Classes

Wednesdays 7-8:30pm and Sundays 2:30pm-4pm:

This class is that nebulous Open Level, in between Beginner and Intermediate, often called "Advanced Beginner", though it is not advanced or beginner. Combinations are shorter, we often workshop turns or specific jumps, and we have a lot of fun!

Pointe

Class

Pointe class:

Sundays 4:15pm-5:00pm

Come try pointe class! Not strong enough yet? Some dancers take the class in ballet slippers until they're ready. We do ankle and foot strengthening exercises before putting on shoes. Then we warm up at the barre, working on technique and engaging the correct muscles. Everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace. We move into center when dancers are ready and end with some calf stretches.

General Class Schedule:

Wednesdays: Open Level Ballet 7:00pm-8:30pm

Sundays: Beginning Ballet 1:30pm-2:30pm

Sundays: Open Level Ballet 2:30pm-4:05pm

Sundays: Pointe Class 4:15pm-5:00pm
